UP Board Exam 2021: On the formula to promote in 10th and 12th, the UP Board has sought opinion of parents and students

 UP Board 10th 12th Exam 2021: After the cancellation of UP Board's high school and intermediate exams, a formula is being prepared to promote students.  So far, advice has been given to give promotion only on the basis of average marks of annual examination and pre board.
 Lucknow [State Bureau].  After the cancellation of the high school and intermediate examinations of the Uttar Pradesh Board of Secondary Education (UP Board), now a formula is being prepared to promote 56 lakh students.  On Monday, the Secondary Education Department organized an online meeting with the teachers and parents in this regard.  In the meeting, parents and teachers advised to promote students on the basis of average marks of annual examination and pre-board marks.  Any academician, parent, student and general public can give their suggestions regarding promotion by mailing the email id upboardexamination@gmail.com.

 This issue was discussed with representatives of government and non-government aided secondary schools and parent associations through video conferencing chaired by Additional Chief Secretary (Secondary Education) Aradhana Shukla.  It was advised in the meeting that the result of intermediate should be prepared on the basis of percentage obtained in class 10, half yearly and annual examination of class 11 and average marks of class 12 pre board examination.
 Jawahar Singh Rathore, Principal of Sarvodaya Inter College, Fatehpur, suggested that students should be promoted on the basis of high school results, class 9 annual examination and class 10 pre board or half yearly examination marks.  Fatehpur Parents Association President Atmaram suggested that the result of high school should be prepared on the basis of average marks of class 10 pre-board and class nine annual examination only.

 Dr. Ramchandra Shukla, Principal of Mahendra Technical Inter College, Chandauli, suggested that more importance should be given to the marks of class 10 and class 12 pre-board examination.  The Principal of Hansnagar Inter College, Ghaziabad, Dr. Sukhpal Singh Tomar demanded to give minimum passing marks to the students who could not appear in the half yearly and pre-board examination due to any reason.  Arun Kumar Singh, Principal of Government Inter College Agra raised the issue of private candidates.  Special Secretary (Secondary Education) Uday Bhanu Tripathi and Jai Shankar Dubey were also present in the meeting.

 Build a center at the district headquarters for board examination: 
In the meeting, Ziyarat Hussain, principal of Hindu-Muslim Inter College, Durgasthan, Ghazipur, suggested that such students who want to appear in the board examination should get a chance to improve their marks.  For such students, an examination center should be made in any government inter college located at the district headquarters.

 Secondary school to start online classes: Additional Chief Secretary (Secondary Education) Aradhana Shukla directed that online classes should be taught till physical classes are not started in schools due to Corona epidemic.  He instructed all the district school inspectors to establish better communication with the schools for online classes to be conducted in a better way.
